Join us at our next Twilight Market for a festive evening market at our green space nestled in Kensington! We are keeping the farm and the farmstand open late for shopping and have invited some of our favorite friends to join us! Philadelphia Brewing Co. will be here and Chef Carolynn will be cooking. Faked will be here serving up their plant–based allergen free sweet treats! Enjoy live music from Deb Shebish and shop local makers; an array of handcrafted soaps and balms from The The Tin Goat, sculptures and jewelry from Sculptlerybones, handmade prints, wrapping papers, greetings cards from Fish2Print and crystals, mandalas, and other beautiful things from Elements of Aura. As for the the menu, Chef Carolyn will be serving up Kielbasa and Kraut with spicy brown mustard on a Metropolitan Bakery baguette and Garlic Rosemary Fennel Roasted Pork Shoulder with sharp provolone and spinach on a baguette.
Join Greensgrow’s chief cabbage lover, Ryan Kuck for a free Kraut Demo at this month’s Twilight Market! Not only is now prime cabbage season, but it’s the perfect time to preserve the fall veggies for winter! Ryan will take you through all the steps to keep your cabbage delicious all winter with a great homemade kraut. You’ll learn tips on fermentation basics, choosing your cabbage, salt ratios, secret ingredients, tools and storage tips. Participants can roll up their sleeves to help chop ingredients and pound the cabbage so it’s ready for fermentation!
You may know Ryan as the Executive Director here at Greensgrow, but he’s also the co-founder Cobblestone Krautery, Philly’s original raw hand-packed sauerkraut company. He’s ready to share his cabbage expertise with you!
Twilight Markets are the second Thursday of each month through November. BYOBW (beer and wine) welcome. Different music, local food and drink, workshops, music and arts and craft vendors each month.
